So You Want to Save the World?

Do you dream about how you would change the world if you had the chance?
Do you find yourself thinking that there must be more to life than the mundane routines of work?
Do you feel a desperate call from the core of your being that tells you you’re not doing enough, that you could change the world if only you knew how?

Stage One

I grew up surrounded by people that made a difference in other people’s lives. I grew up pretending to be princesses, superheroes, and shapeshifters. I grew up with stories of people that started out ordinary and found something in themselves that gave them the opportunity to be great. In the course of my lifetime, I’ve lived hundreds and thousands of other people’s lives.

Chances are, if you’re reading this, so have you...

Every time you see something on TV and in movies, read a book or a magazine or an online article, even surfed the web, you’ve had the opportunity to experience someone else’s life. Right now, we are incredibly connected. Technology has intertwined us with our societies so inextricably that sometimes it’s hard to tell where we end and the collective consciousness begins.

We can connect instantly with someone on the other side of the planet. Major incidents happen, and we no longer need to rely on news outlets to break it – we can see it as it happens, often from the very people involved in the situations. Look at everything that’s happened since the start of 2016. Last year might have been a disaster, but no-one can deny that it has stirred up something far too big to be contained or ignored. 2017 is shaping up to be a truly transformative journey for all of us.

Social awareness is at an all-time high. Companies are changing the way they do business – because the individual people that make up our society have changed. Altruism is the new capitalism. And it sells better than ever. Because it's no longer enough to tell someone to 'Buy my product' - it's now necessary to show them why it's a good idea. I
f an organisation's 'WHY' doesn't have a genuine heartfelt emotional connection, consumers are less likely to buy into it.

Individuals are waking up and realising that they are powerful, that they have been blinded by lies and the machinations of groups within the collective all fighting to be the one(s) steering the future. They're starting to question why things are the way they are.

And ... it's all doomed to perish in the inevitable and explosive apocalypse hanging just on the edge of our collective foresight.

Now, just wait a minute...

Does this sound familiar?
Does this sound like a horror movie?
Or the start of a politician's campaign story?
Or like sensationalism?
Or does it resonate within the part of you that can sense that something is very wrong?
Fear has been a common marketing tactic to create arousal, to inspire change - fear and anger are motivating emotions, and it can be very useful to carry a call to action. 'X is coming, you should be scared, but it's ok, we have Y to fix it, you can trust us, just give us Z.'

ENOUGH!

I'm not interested in scaring you into action. There's nothing you can do out of fear that will help my cause or yours. Fear is a low-vibration emotion, and it carries a wealth of pain along with it. I'm not interested in being involved with anything that creates more fear. We've got quite enough to be going on with, thank you very much.

Instead, I'd like to offer you this idea to chew on for a moment.

The world has already been saved.

We did it. Without even realising it. We passed the crossover point. The tidal wave of change that has been building and building for generations has finally tipped down on us. And surprise... The world didn’t end. We’re all still here, still fighting to make the world a better place. Because we are finally ready to embrace all that we –humanity– can be.

More and more people are finding their perfect places. Celebrities, internet personalities, CEO’s, artists, entrepreneurs – people all across the planet in all different situations. There’s still quite a way to go, but the more people who find their perfect place in the world, the more space we have to help other people find the same.
So what can you do?
What’s the next step for all of you who have something to give and don’t know what will be enough?
What would be enough to start a movement?

What if I told you that all it would take is for you to #StartAConversation ?

Start talking to your friends and family about what you want to see in the world. Talk to random strangers, talk to the checkout chick or the guy at your local library. Get on Tumblr or Twitter or Facebook or Instagram and tell the world what inspires you. Talk to the global collective, tell everyone what you want to see and then share it as far as you can so other people that have the same ideas get a chance to see it too. Start talking to the businesses that take your money for goods and services and tell them what you'd like to see.

Your Voice is Powerful!

More than anything, I want to change the world. But I can't do it alone any more than you can. I am a child of the collective creative consciousness, and if you're still here reading this, then you are too.

Every person that is inspired to be the biggest and brightest they can is part of the solution. More and more, we are waking up to the realisation that we are all connected. Call it what you will, we are first and foremost social creatures, and the structure of our community is what shapes us. We are connected to the global community like no other historical civilisation has ever been. So our local community has shifted to encompass the whole planet.

Those who have been in control of our world are slowly feeling it slip from their grasp as we start to change the rules. Is it any wonder that we're on the brink of war, that more and more atrocities are being committed and broadcast to every nation? The darkest hours are always those just before the breaking of the dawn. The illusion of failure is one of our biggest collective demons - the hardest part of success for most people is getting past their own gatekeepers. Fear keeps us rooted, small and stagnant.

But if you know the truth, fear can no longer trick you into thinking that you can't do it.

We've already won.

It’s time to start focusing on what we want instead of what we’re running from and embrace the culture of compassion. Be brave, take a step outside of your comfort zone and reach for something you want. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Just take one step at a time.

I envision a future where all people get to choose their lives, where all people have access to what they need to thrive. Every aspect of the infrastructure we need to make this happen already exists in our world- it's out there, hiding in plain sight. All I want from you is to help me open up the conversations, get people looking and talking about the same ideas and then stand back and let the connections cascade from there.

We are in a unique place in human history. Money is no longer a measure of impact. Now awareness is a currency in its own right, as are respect and connection. Now companies and organisations are starting to listen to the people that they’re selling to. And not just because they might lose business – but because they actually care about the experience.

So get involved, get out there and help all of us make a difference.

Because every voice matters.

    Why Super Heroes?

Because they are an icon, a  symbol of all that we could be if we were tuned in to our fullest powers for good. They have abilities far beyond the norm, and they dedicate their lives and their powers to making the world a better place.
